Dar.Ra - Soul Hours
Released Spring
/ Summer 2010
Soul
Hours is a brand new album out on Kusha Deep Records
by an Artist called Dar.Ra which is currently breathing
life into the radio and film world around the globe.
The album already described by some as ‘Brit Soul
At Its Finest’ has just been licensed to the American
TV network ABC for a forthcoming movie and will be getting
a release through one of the biggest distributors of
music in China in the next few months. The singles Fly
2 Nite and Start Again have warmed the airwaves of
UK Independent Radio over the past few months, which
is adding to the profile of the album.
Written by Dar.Ra over a ten
year period while living in Australia, NZ and the UK
that gives the music a well travelled feel, expressed
in tracks like Shadow Of The Sun and Start Again. The
whole concept of the recording is based on recurring
themes, such as breaking through the trappings of expectations
that society places on us, from cradle to grave and
above all asking questions like why we carry on living
lives that we are not happy being in. As you listen
to songs such as Pressure and Let Love Be Your Religion
you are lifted by the rousing soulful rhythms’,
but as you tune into the actual words you start to hear
the underlying themes being cried out. |
